No legalese. This is simply how The Case Files makes money, what we mark as advertising, and what happens to your information.

Some links on this site are affiliate (advertising) links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission from the retailer. It costs you nothing extra: the price you pay is the retailer's price, and our commission is paid out of the seller's side of the transaction, never added to your bill.
Every "View on Amazon" button and every product link on The Case Files is an affiliate link. They open in a new tab, and we mark them with a sponsored attribute so browsers and search engines can tell they are advertising links rather than ordinary editorial ones.
We also state the relationship plainly in the footer of every page and above the shop grid, so you're never left guessing.
The Case Files does not sell, stock, ship or fulfil anything. We don't hold inventory, take payment, or process orders. When you buy, the contract is between you and the retailer. Delivery, returns, refunds, warranties and customer complaints are all handled by them, under their terms and their policies.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date and time you view them, and are subject to change. Always check the final price shown on the retailer's page before you buy. We can't honour a price we don't control.
This site is a storefront only. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, no checkout and no comments, so we don't ask you for personal information and we don't collect, store or sell any.
We don't set advertising cookies of our own. However, once you click through to a retailer such as Amazon, they may set their own cookies and handle your data under their own privacy notice. That's their policy, not ours, and we'd encourage you to read it.
If we ever add analytics, a newsletter or any other data collection to this site, this page will be updated before it goes live.
Every recommendation is our own and honest. No retailer, publisher or brand pays us to list an item, and we don't accept payment to move something up the shelf. We follow Amazon's Associates Programme Operating Agreement and the UK Advertising Codes on disclosing a commercial relationship.
